The judgment

Fellowship that happens in the open, where everyone can see. When people come together around something larger than private interests, even great difficulties can be crossed. Keep the circle open rather than forming cliques, and let clear shared values, not personal favor, be what holds it together.

Fire rising toward heaven, flame and sky reaching the same way. Bring order to a group by recognizing the different kinds of people within it and giving each their place.

The six lines

Read only the lines that changed in your casting, counting from the bottom.

• Line 1 (bottom): Meeting others at the gate, out in the open. Starting a connection with no hidden agenda is free of fault.
• Line 2: Keeping fellowship only within your own clan. Favoring insiders narrows the circle and brings regret.
• Line 3: Hiding weapons in the bushes and watching from the hill. Mistrust keeps you on guard for years and gets you nowhere.
• Line 4: Up on the wall, ready to attack, you stop. Seeing that fighting is wrong, you turn back, and that brings good fortune.
• Line 5: Those who belong together are kept apart, and at first they weep. After a hard struggle they meet, and then they laugh.
• Line 6 (top): Fellowship out in the far meadow. The bond is loose and not yet the deepest kind, but there is nothing to regret.
