Four of Cups Tarot Card Meaning

Minor Arcana, suit of Cups

withdrawal, contemplation, missed offer

The card

A young man sits under a tree with his arms crossed, staring at three cups set before him on the grass. A hand from a cloud offers him a fourth cup, which he does not seem to see. The card points to a pause that can be restful or simply stale, and asks whether something good is being offered while you look elsewhere.

Upright meaning

Absorbed in boredom or discontent, you may overlook a new offer held right in front of you.

Reversed meaning

You emerge from withdrawal and become ready to accept what is offered.
