Four of Pentacles Tarot Card Meaning

Minor Arcana, suit of Pentacles

security, holding on, control, saving

The card

A crowned man sits outside a city, clutching one coin to his chest, with another balanced on his head and two pinned under his feet. He is safe, but he can barely move. The card asks what you are holding on to so tightly, and whether security has started to feel more like a wall than a home.

Upright meaning

Holding on tightly to security, money or control; saving brings stability.

Reversed meaning

Greed or fear of loss closes you off, or you finally loosen your grip and share.
