Nine of Wands Tarot Card Meaning
Minor Arcana, suit of Wands
resilience, persistence, guardedness
The card
A man with a bandaged head leans on his wand and glances warily to the side, eight more wands standing behind him like a fence. He has been through a hard stretch and is still on his feet. The card honors that endurance while asking you to notice whether caution is protecting you or keeping you from the last few steps.
Upright meaning
Battered but still standing, you are close to the end; one more push will carry you through.
Reversed meaning
Exhaustion or old wounds make you defensive, suspicious or ready to quit too soon.
