Two of Swords Tarot Card Meaning
Minor Arcana, suit of Swords
stalemate, a hard choice, avoidance, truce
The card
A blindfolded woman sits by the shore with two heavy swords crossed over her heart, a crescent moon above and rocks breaking the water behind her. She holds perfectly still, keeping both options at arm's length. The card asks what you are choosing not to look at, and whether this truce with yourself is a rest or a way of putting off a decision.
Upright meaning
A stalemate: you avoid a difficult decision by keeping your eyes covered.
Reversed meaning
The truce breaks and the decision can no longer wait, or information overload leaves you stuck.
